GREETINGS AND WELCOME

Welcome to the Daingerfield, Texas Chamber of Commerce web site.    Daingerfield is located in the Northeastern part of Texas in Morris County.

We are the fourth oldest town in Texas and the oldest in Morris County!   Daingerfield offers many great attractions. The Daingerfield State Park is a wonderful place that includes a lake and is deep in the beautiful piney woods. It is a pleasant place to camp, fish, swim, and picnic.

Another one of Daingerfield's great attractions is Daingerfield Days Fall Fest during which we  have many activities: chili cook-off, carnival, parade, 5-K run, golf tournament, and much more. This is a festivity to remember Captain London Daingerfield, for whom the town was said to be named after.

Also, during the holidays there are more fun festivities to participate in.

As well as the fun activities,   Daingerfield has a $1.50 movie theater,

The Morris Twin Cinema, (903) 645-2219

The Daingerfield State Park will be closed July 5, 2010. Due to unforeseen problems, the reopening has been rescheduled for the first week in July, barring further delays.  Extensive renovations will take place during that time making  our State Park shine more.
